Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thanks be to God in this blessed month of Maouloud, overshadowed this year, following the stampede occurred at the Stade Modibo Keita, which has left several dead and wounded.
I would like, in this tragic circumstance, express our condolences to the bereaved families and wish him a speedy recovery to the wounded.
Comrades, the URD was also hit during the past year we have indeed lost one of our honorary presidents: Adama Mariko. President Adama MARIKO personified rectitude, was a man of great faith and commitment. I salute his memory and that of all our dead who have valiantly defended the values of our party.
Comrades If I regret my absence from this important meeting, I must say I am the front of the fight for freedom and democracy throughout our Union, at the moment, going through hard times with the crisis Côte d'Ivoire. My deepest wish is that peace and security to return to Côte d'Ivoire, the country dear to all Malian Malians and all!
I would like on this success, congratulate the President of the Republic Amadou Toumani Toure in Mali who led the peace, unity and concord. I welcome this excellent contribution representatives of the URD in government: I warmly welcome on behalf of all of you, comrades Abdoul Wahab Berthe and Salikou Sanago which, in their respective positions, get each day, with brilliant results for the happiness of the people of Mali as a whole.
I like to sincerely thank all our guests who do us the honor to attend this ceremony. It is a mark of respect and esteem that we measure at fair value.
Comrades This Congress is a landmark in the progress of our party. This is an opportunity for me to acknowledge the successes achieved by the URD.
and I want to congratulate the National Executive for the significant progress on several successful plans, who devote advanced the prestige and credibility of the URD. The Women's Movement under the leadership of Ms. Coulibaly Salimata Cisse has accomplished its mission.
Similarly, for Young, Ahmed Sekou Toure has lead his team to its destination. Applaud all the work done by these two teams that deserve your applause ...!
These are commendable efforts that inspire confidence and respect for activists and supporters of the Party. They are also, these commendable efforts that inspire confidence and respect to other Malians who every day, understand and share our vision for Mali.
I would like here, with great solemnity, on behalf of all, to hail the arrival of new members whose confidence honors throughout Great Family URD. Let them the place they deserve and give them the opportunity to prove themselves in the bodies of the Party!

Comrades The Women's Movement of the URD should be a powerful network of activists able to combine the struggle for democracy and advancement of women. The URD must be a party to the forefront in promoting gender equality and parity. This will allow the value the contribution of women in development and democratic progress of the country. The Women's Movement of the URD may and develop advocacy strategies and tools needed to enable women to be involved in decisions in all areas. This powerful network female foster unity of action and solidarity between activists of the party, in the context of transparency and democracy. All this requires a comprehensive action program and an effective strategy. The first step in this strategy is the strengthening of the political action of women with their presence in decision-making bodies of the party.
Comrades Party activists , your mission is great.
It says you carry the world on your shoulders with patience and dignity. Dear Youth URD;
Despite your age, you have the heavy burden and exciting to complete your mission, that of your generation. This mission is proportional to your site and your strength within the party, not just because you are leaders and leaders of tomorrow, but mainly because you are the engines of progress. You are the spearhead of the URD! To meet the challenges ahead, we fully trust your creativity, your intelligence and your civic engagement. To be worthy, Dear young people, you have to live with positive values such as: courage, determination, faith, determination, commitment, success ...
